Twitch

Please note that currently it can take up to 3 minutes for your live stream to appear on your website.

Enter Your Twitch Username

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Settings -> WP Livestream.
  2. Click on the Twitch tab.
  3. Enter your Twitch username.
  4. Forgot your username? Go to https://www.twitch.tv/settings/profile and you’ll find your username under “Profile Settings”.

Create a Twitch App

  1. Go to https://dev.twitch.tv/console/apps
  2. Click “Register Your Application”.
  3. Choose any app name.
  4. Under “OAuth Redirect URLs”, enter the full URL of your website. (Include https if applicable)
  5. Under “Category”, select “Website Integration”.
  6. Click the “Create” button.

Copy your Client ID

  1. Click the “Manage” button.
  2. Copy the Client ID.
  3. In your WordPress admin, go to Settings -> WP Livestream.
  4. Click on the Twitch tab.
  5. Paste the Client ID you just copied into the Your Twitch Client ID field and click Save Settings.

Copy your Client Secret

  1. Click the “New Secret” button.
  2. An alert box will pop up asking if you are sure if you want to generate a new secret. Click the OK button.
  3. Copy the Client Secret.
  4. In your WordPress admin, go to Settings -> WP Livestream.
  5. Click on the Twitch tab.
  6. Paste the Client Secret you just copied into the Your Twitch Client Secret field and click Save Settings.
